  The Centre for Local Politics was co-organiser of this international conference on the impact of the ombudsman.

  On 14 and 15 March 2008 the Centre for Local Politics (Department of Political Sciences) of the Ghent University and the Centre d'etudes de la vie politique (Cevipol) of the Université libre de Bruxelles organised the Third International Conference on Local Politics in Europe. • 29 en 30 November, 1 December, First Annual International Conference on Minor Parties, Independent Politicians, Voter Associations and Political Associations in Politics
  From 29 November until 1 December the Institute for Local Government Studies at Birmingham University, the School of Politics at Queens University Belfast and the Centre for Local Politics at Ghent University organise an international conference called 'Politics beyond the mainstream'. • 27 March 2007, National Conference on Local Politics
  On 27 March 2007, the Centre for Local Politics organised a congress in collaboration with the Centre for Sustainable Development. This year focus lay on city monitoring in Flemish cities. For more details and subscription: download folder.
  Since 2000 the CLP organises a congress on local and provincial politics. Each year a central theme is chosen, which is treated by various experts in the field. We aim at academics, public servants and politicians. Proceedings of the congress are published.
