On 24 March 2023, Bernd Nidetzky receives an honorary doctorate at Ghent University. For this occasion, the faculty of Bioscience Engineering organizes a symposium on Biotechnology on 22 March, to which you are cordially invited.

Bernd Nidetzky

Professor Bernd Nidetzky is Scientific Director of the Austrian Centre of Industrial Biotechnology and head of the Institute of Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering at Graz University of Technology.

Nidetzky conducts basic and applied research on enzymes related to biocatalytic synthesis, synthetic biology and reaction engineering. The focus is on carbohydrate-active enzymes as well as enzymes that work at solid interfaces.
